Engage Donors as Volunteers

Fundraising, Team posted by Scott Barron

Donors who engage with their time and talent will give more money. Did you know that people who volunteer time at your school are nearly 4 times more likely to give financially?

Intentionally create opportunities for donors to volunteer in your school:

  • In the parking lot as a greeter at drop-off or pickup
  • In the classroom as a guest reader or teacher's aid
  • At special events as an emcee, host, or guest speaker
  • On the field as an assistant coach or sideline helper

Have you tapped into the talent of your donors? Their expertise includes marketing, technology, project management, construction, personnel management, communication, and so much more. Not only can your administrative team benefit from such talent, your donors will become even more connected to your school because you listened and valued their input.
