Can you print an accurate mailing list of every parent and grandparent for each student in the school?
Does your database include each donor's giving history, personal background, professional expertise, and areas of interest?
Do you commit the majority of your fundraising time to cultivating your relationship with your top 10% donors, and those who could be in the top 10% over the next 24 months?

Core: Message/Vision + Production

Do all of your marketing materials for the annual fund have a clear and consistent appearance and message?
Is your message a clear story that is simple, unexpected, concrete, credible, and emotionally motivating?

Core: Calendar

Does your fundraising plan leverage every major event on the school calendar as an opportunity to engage with current and prospective donors?
Do you have a planned sequence of events for building relationships and engaging donors?

Team

(How effective is the Head of School, other administrators, etc.)

Is your team of staff and volunteer leaders well-defined and properly trained?
Does each member of your team understand their roles and goals?

Collection/Tracking

Can you produce a completely accurate report showing how much every donor has given year-to-date along with required tax reporting documentation?
Can you show the giving trend for each donor, including both time and money?

Gratitude

Have 100% of your donors received a handwritten thank you card?
Has each donor been thanked at least three times?
